Breaking the Lie: Soundtracks to Replace the Noise

Breaking the Lie: Soundtracks to Replace the Noise

In the latest episode of the Babbling Tat Podcast (episode 8 for reference!), we talked about breaking the negative soundtracks that play on repeat in our minds. You know the ones—those thoughts that drag us down and make us feel stuck. Today, I’m sharing a list of empowering soundtracks to help you hit "stop" on the lies and "play" on the truth.

Quick Recap: What Are Soundtracks?

Soundtracks are the thoughts and beliefs that play in your mind, shaping how you see yourself and the world. They can be positive or negative, but the ones we’re focused on breaking are the harmful ones, like:

  • “I’m not good enough.”
  • “I always mess things up.”
  • “No one really cares about me.”

These lies can feel like background noise you’ve gotten used to, but you have the power to change the track. I'll dive deeper into soundtracks next episode!

Replacement Soundtracks

Here are some positive affirmations to replace those old, negative ones. Repeat them daily, write them down, or speak them out loud to create a mental playlist that serves you - make them hard to ignore:

  • "I was not born to suffer."
  • "I have the audacity to take up space."
  • "The universe does not make mistakes, even if I can't see it right now."
  • “I am enough - right here, right now, exactly as I am.”
  • “I am capable of growth and change.”
  • “I matter too.”
  • “I am loved and worthy of love.”
  • “I have the strength to face challenges and rise above them.”

Let’s Rewrite Your Soundtrack Together

Replacing negative thoughts takes practice, but it’s worth it - YOU are worth it. Share your favorite affirmations or go-to songs with me on Instagram (@xxtatqueenxx). Let’s keep breaking the lies and building a better playlist for our minds.

I believe in you, always.

Stay here, stay weird, and remember: the world is a better place with you in it.
