The P3 Story

It's funny, isn't it? How something so powerful we learn at such a young age, can truly become a staple of our lives here-and-now.

The Pinky Promise Project began by simply that, a pinky promise.

To be fair - it was over text message because my best friend is on the other side of the country but, same-same. It went a little like this:

"You would not be easily forgotten... you are not alone, no matter how low and down you feel. We will get through this together. Every sunrise and every sunset, no matter how heavy. Pinky Promise?"

"I can't pinky promise. I can't go back on a pinky promise..."

"My point of a pinky promise."

Something clicked in my head and in my heart, and it stuck.

As I was going through the hardest chapter of life that I’ve experienced at the same time, I knew I had to do something with it. I knew that this was bigger than me. I knew that I could create something that people could believe in - a piece of hope, a feeling of belonging, faith in their own resilience and fight within them.

This was created as a mental health symbol - and I'd be lying if I said this didn't save my own life.

It’s a promise to keep going, to keep fighting, to keep growing.

A promise to see every sunrise and sunset, no matter how high the high or how low the low.

A promise that even if it feels like you’re alone, I promise you that you are not.

A promise that you are meant to be here, exactly as you are.

The Pinky Promise Project

P3 stands as a beacon of hope, fostering a supportive community and providing resources for those navigating the complexities of mental health, for those on the path to sobriety and recovery, and for those battling inner wars unnamed. Together, we empower each other towards healing and renewed well-being - through every sunrise and every sunset, no matter how high the high or low the low, we keep moving forward.

We stick together, we heal together.

Stay here and stay weird, the world is a better place with you here in it.
